Setup Your M365 (Microsoft) Account for Password Resets

Use the following steps to setup verification methods to reset your O365/Microsoft password.

STEP 1) Open your web browser on your device and navigate to office.com

STEP 2) Sign into your GSB account and click the image in the top right (it will either be your initials or your profile picture) to access your account settings.

STEP 3) Select View account to get to your account settings.

STEP 3) Select either UPDATE INFO from the Security Info box or Security info from the left hand menu to edit your settings.

STEP 4) Select Add sign-in method to add additional verification methods to allow you to reset your password at a future date.

Depending on the current GSB administration settings, one or more of the following options will be available for you to set up as your security verification method. We strongly recommend that you use more than one as your security verification method, in case one of your methods becomes unavailable.

Authentication app: Choose to use the Microsoft Authenticator app or other authenticator app as your security verification method.

Text messaging: Choose to send yourself text messages to your mobile device.

Phone calls: Choose to get a phone call to your registered phone number.

Email address: Choose to use an alternate email address that can be used without requiring your forgotten or missing password.

STEP 5) After you select and add a new method, you'll be sent a verification code to that method and you'll need to enter the code in order to verify and complete the process.
