Created by Joe DeVico, Modified on Mon, 5 Aug at 8:55 AM by Joe DeVico

GSB staff/faculty/students now have the ability to print a document by attaching it to an email and sending it to print@gsbschool.org. Jobs sent via email are limited to 500MB per email message, all attachments included.

You can print the following documents via email:

  • pdf

  • jpeg, bmp, tif, png

  • txt (UTF8)

  • MS Office documents: doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx

You have the option to customize your print by placing hashtags/keywords in the email subject line. These keywords will override the default print settings of the printer.

You may use the following hashtags/keywords:

#color (print in color)
#mono (monochrome print)
#duplex (print on both sides of the paper)
#simplex (print on one side of the paper)
#econon (toner saving print mode ON)
#econoff (toner saving print mode OFF)

These keywords can be used as any part of the subject and do not have to be separated. For example, an email with the subject “MyPrintJob #mono#duplex” will force the job to be printed in monochrome and duplex.
